They are searching for a Senior Planner to also function as a Team leader in Hamilton. They provide services such as land surveying, planning and engineering design nationwide.

* $90 000 - $120 000 per annum

Reporting to the Directors, the Senior Planner will also function as a Resource Consent Planner and have experience with 3 Waters. You will attend site visits, client meetings and meetings with the Council and contractors. This will include the public and private sector and their resource consent matters. Report writing is a key function of the role and includes preparing resource consents for small to large clients as well as RMA policy analysis and recommendations to clients. Must have subdivision experience.

* Guide a small group of junior staff
* Manage customer queries and provide reports on District plan provisions and estimation of costs
* Preparation of all RCA to local authorities on behalf of clients in accordance to District and Regional plans and legislation for subdivision, land-use, boundary relocations, conversion of cross-lease to freehold etc.
* Collaborate to develop and prepare final scheme plans
* Council and Environment court hearings as required
* Manage all work involved during the planning process of the RCA
* Stay updated with legislation and District and Regional plans
* Preparation of applications to council for any consents required, as well as meeting advice and further information requests
* Personal time sheets
* Job management – completion, time sheets, disbursements, and document management
* H&S

You will have:
* At least 5 years’ experience as an Intermediate planner
* Town Planning qualification or similar
* Thorough knowledge of the “Resource Management Act”
* Good level of awareness of the “Heritage NZ Act”
* Passion for your work
* Solution-orientated approach
* Excellent communication
* Tech savvy (Adobe, MS Office, Grip Map)
* Strong report writing skills
