The Company
Based in Wiri our client is an industrial manufacturing and processing plant. Having stood the test of time, this industrial manufacture is an integral part of New Zealand infrastructure and in currently in an upgrade phase.

The Role
We are seeking 2 hands-on fitters who are skilled in using tools to disassemble, overhaul, assemble and install mechanical parts and systems. This is a maintenance based role where you will need to have excellent engineering aptitude to be able to problem solve and perform diagnostics. You will be responsible for preventative and breakdown maintenance, as well as taking part in many exciting upcoming capital projects to upgrade the plant.

This is not a role for the faint hearted - you will be working with heavy equipment and in a hazardous and dangerous areas of the plant regularly, as well as solving a range of engineering problems on the fly. However, it is an extremely well organised plant with a robust preventative maintenance program.

In summary, the requirements are,

* Extensive hands-on fitting and fault-finding experience
* Extensive experience with fixed plant/ production equipment
* Ideally trade qualified in mechanical level 4
* Welding, fabrication and turning skills
* Health and safety conscious
* A continuous improvement mindset
