Our client is a global industry leader known for its high-quality products across the FMCG. There specialty sits amongst plant-based products, early life nutrition and bottled water! The plant is state of the art fitted with highly automated production equipment, the investments into technology here is second to none.

A rare to-market role as an Automation Engineer has arisen to join there seasoned and well-established team. As an Automation Engineer, you will be an automation champion for their engineering team and take charge of the upgrade, maintenance, improvement, and commissioning of all the automation systems in the plant. You will be participating in a range of capital projects and be involved in routine maintenance tasks.

This is a senior level role. Whilst we are open to engineers with experience in different automation systems (e.g. Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider, etc.), you must possess high level PLC / HMI programming skills, competent experience in SCADA, as well has having a good understanding in industrial level networks and servers. FMCG experience is not essential – but hands-on electrical experience and mechanical knowledge would be highly beneficial as you will be working closely alongside other maintenance technicians.

This is a great opportunity for engineers who are working for a system integrator to go into an in-house role with NO travel requirements and be an integral part of the team.

This is a permanent night shift role with a very popular shift pattern that offers great work life balance. It gives you every second weekend off and is a 2-2-3 ( 2 on, 2 off, 3 on,3 off, 2 on, 2 off ) shift pattern meaning you have a long week and a really short week! To be successful in this role you need:

* A tertiary qualification in electrical engineering, process, automation, or similar
* Extensive PLC and HMI programming, SCADA experience
* Able to understand complex electrical circuits
* Hands-on knowledge and skills in maintenance/ mechanical, FMCG experience highly beneficial
* Project and management skills are highly beneficial
